ZaloSave is a browser extension that archives messages from the Zalo Web app (chat.zalo.me) and restores recalled messages. This policy explains how it handles your data.
What is stored
When you use Zalo Web with ZaloSave installed, the extension saves the text content and metadata of messages visible in your chat window, along with your extension settings. If you enable the optional media-saving features, images and files from your chats are saved to a folder you choose on your computer.
Where it is stored
All archived data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB storage, on your own device. Exported files and saved media are written to your local file system only.
No transmission, no third parties
ZaloSave does not transmit any data off your device. It has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. No data is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party, ever. The extension's only network interaction is with chat.zalo.me itself, as part of displaying and reading the page you are already viewing.
Your controls
You can export your archive as JSON or text at any time, delete individual conversations, or erase the entire archive from the extension popup. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored data from your browser.
Independence
ZaloSave is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Zalo or VNG Corporation.
